Dedicated Entrepreneur Goes on the Road to Showcase the Positive Reality of the New Nicaragua

MANAGUA, NICARAGUA--(Marketwire - Sep 16, 2011) - Nicaragua-Canadian Kevin Fleming was introduced to the country of Nicaragua by his wife, a native, and immediately was amazed by the beauty, culture, people and opportunity he found there. After moving there permanently, he and Maria, his wife, have dedicated their efforts to entrepreneurial projects, with an emphasis on oceanfront real estate development to bring visitors and investors to Nicaragua.

Throughout September, Fleming is bringing his belief in Nicaragua to the United States and Canada through a 25-city tour during which he will sit down with small groups of interested individuals to discuss the country's potential as an ideal place to invest, vacation, retire or start a business. "Maria and I are devoting our efforts to well-planned, sustainable development that will stimulate the local economy and offer investors a wonderful chance to capitalize on the potential for growth," says Fleming, who serves as chairman of Grupo Mariana. "Nicaragua is still a misunderstood country, but is beginning now to experience the growth and progress that created dynamic opportunities in such places as Costa Rica a decade ago."

Fleming points to the steady growth in the Nicaraguan economy, including dramatic rises in international investment, foreign trade and tourism. He also stresses the strong culture of the country's citizens and the expansive natural beauty, noting that Nicaragua is one of the world's most biologically diverse locales. The country's Pacific coast was compared recently by an international magazine to California for its climate, outstanding coastline and recreational variety.

And Nicaragua's Pacific coast is the setting for Grupo Mariana's first resort communities, with Seaside Mariana situated on 923-acres with over a mile of pristine beachfront. The development, which broke ground earlier this year, features a Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course and will have a Wyndham Nicaragua Resort & Casino as a centerpiece. A range of homes, condominiums and bungalows are available and are proving attractive to investors and adventuresome travelers. Development activities also continue at Isla Mariana Beachfront Retreat, an eco-resort also on Nicaragua's Pacific Coast.

As part of Grupo Mariana's commitment to having a positive influence on local Nicaraguan communities, a non-profit foundation has been established with 5% of all real estate sales contributed to create jobs, provide training and stimulate economic activity in local towns. "We're very confident this is a way for us to contribute to the future of Nicaragua," Fleming says. "This is a country with tremendous needs, but also very strong people who are working hard to push their country forward."

Fleming's tour began in Miami at the end of August and continues throughout September, with stops remaining in Houston, Denver, Phoenix, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Portaland, Seattle, Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver.
