Defense Industry Expert Carol Haave Joins Xceedium's Board of Advisors

Access Control and Audit Leader Continues to Attract Industry Leaders as Its "Zero Trust" Access Model and Comprehensive Audit Gains Strong Traction With Public Sector Organizations

JERSEY CITY, NJ--(Marketwire - December 16, 2009) - Xceedium®, Inc., the leading provider of Access Control and Audit solutions, today announced the addition of Carol Haave to its Board of Advisors. With more than 20 years of experience in security, intelligence, military operations and technology, Xceedium will benefit from Ms. Haave's extensive domain expertise.

"Carol's deep and multifaceted understanding of the security and compliance requirements of government agencies is extremely strategic for us," said Cheryl Traverse, CEO of Xceedium.

"As agencies struggle with how to implement a Zero Trust access model and right size permissions plus add necessary real time monitoring and audit capabilities, her deep experience with critical threat infrastructure protection and information assurance is applicable across our entire business."

Ms. Haave joins the Board of Advisors for Xceedium after leaving the Department of Homeland Security as the Assistant Secretary for International Affairs. Prior to that position, she was the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Security and Information Operations, where her responsibilities included critical infrastructure protection and information assurance. She later became the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Counterintelligence and Security, where she created the first interagency and contractor cyber security summits to address shared threats. Haave was also was the Department of Defense (DoD) representative to the Information Sharing Council, established by Executive Order.

As the President of Sullivan Haave Associates, Inc., Ms. Haave successfully transitioned DARPA and other government advanced technologies into the military forces, usually during conflict, and participated in numerous Defense Science Boards and the National Defense Panel looking at alternative futures for the DoD.

"Today more than ever, companies need to balance easy access to resources with stringent controls and auditing. Because these two conditions are by nature, diametrically opposed, most organizations have had to sacrifice one in order to get the other -- that is, until Xceedium launched its GateKeeper appliance," said Ms. Haave. "Over the course of my career I have worked with many innovative security companies, but Xceedium's core technology combined with its phenomenal management team and affordable price point makes it a standout, and I am delighted to help guide the company as it continues on its upward trajectory."
