The sixth edition of the visual art festival Dehors, les artistes ! will welcome twenty professional artists from different regions of Quebec. Surrounded by 200 sculptures crafted by the students of Francois-Perrot school in L'Ile-Perrot, these artists will paint or sculpt outdoors under the attentive eye of the public. This art festival will take place on Galerie Pierre Seguin's land in L'Ile-Perrot on Saturday and Sunday June 13 and 14.

In the framework of the MRC cultural policy, Galerie Pierre Seguin has been a partner of Commission scolaire des Trois-Lacs for four years. They have worked together to have the young people discover and experience the pleasure of visual art creation. This year, the sculptor Daniel Laramee animated a one-day initiation to sculpture with near 200 children of the second and third cycles of Francois-Perrot school. These creations will be presented next to the 300 works of professional artists of Quebec who will take part in Dehors, les artistes ! the big happening in visual art creation in Vaudreuil-Soulanges.

The event will take place outdoors, between 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday June 13, 14, on Galerie Pierre Seguin's land and will offer a variety of free activities combining visual art and music concert.

Saint-Lazare painter Madeleine Turgeon will supervise the realization by young visitors of a collective work painted with acrylic. This artwork will be put on sale at the time of the next auction-benefit of Comite Jeunesse La Presqu'Ile. All the little painters will sign the work and will be eligible for the drawing of a participation price.

On Sunday afternoon, young violinists of Encore Music School will walk around visitors while playing traditional and semi-traditional pieces.

Ikenobo School will present "Ikebana", a Japanese floral art exhibit prepared by Mr. Raynald Donais, president of the Societe Ikenobo Ikebana de Montreal.
