DEKRA Announces Opening of Two Automotive Emission and Safety Inspection Stations in Toronto, Canada

TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - May 26, 2015) - DEKRA North America (NA), Inc. today announced the opening of two new automotive emission and safety inspection stations in Toronto, Canada. These are the first automotive inspection stations that DEKRA has opened in Canada. The new stations are part of DEKRA's Automotive Inspections Group, which offers independent and unbiased vehicle emission and safety inspections for consumer and commercial vehicles.

DEKRA is the global leader in emission and safety inspections -- conducting over 26 million vehicle technical inspections worldwide each year. In the U.S., DEKRA operates over 50 emissions testing facilities in California, Georgia, North Carolina, Texas, Utah, and now Ontario, Canada.

"We are excited to bringing our vast expertise and high standards in emission and safety inspection services to Canada," said Jens-Peter Schultze, Regional Director Automotive Inspection, DEKRA Canada, Inc. "We are independent, test-only facilities that do not perform repair work, so our customers know that our singular goal is their vehicle's safety and environmental compliance. This is what sets DEKRA apart from our competitors."

The new stations will offer a wide range of inspection services including regulated Emission Testing, Safety Inspections, Pre-Purchased Used Car Inspections, Family Trip Car Inspections, and Brake Tests.

"Expanding into Canada has been one of our strategic business goals, so the opening of these two stations in Toronto is an important part of our long term growth plans to be the market leader in Canada," said Donald O. Nicholson, CEO and President of DEKRA North America. "We are thrilled to be here and look forward to working with customers who want an objective and unbiased partner who has only their best interests in mind."
