DelGrosso's Amusement Park Rings Up Success With Sage 100 ERP

Operations at DelGrosso's Become More Efficient With Immediate Payment Processing and Access to Data, Aiding in Forecasting

IRVINE, CA--(Marketwire - Jul 24, 2012) - Sage North America announced today that DelGrosso's Amusement Park has continued its success by using Sage 100 ERP, Sage Payment Solutions, and AccuPOS, a Sage Endorsed point-of-sale (POS) application. A family-owned theme park since 1946, DelGrosso's is nestled in the Allegheny Mountains of Central Pennsylvania and features more than 30 rides, an extensive water park, go-karts, and a miniature golf course. For nearly two decades, Sage 100 ERP has provided DelGrosso's with inventory support, accounting and financial operations. Sage 100 ERP offers a broad selection of feature-rich solutions including core accounting and finance, business intelligence, CRM, HR and payroll, distribution and manufacturing -- with a low total cost of ownership.

"For many years, DelGrosso's used traditional cash registers, which were tedious and did not integrate with our business management system, Sage 100 ERP," commented Todd Walters, IT manager for DelGrosso's Amusement Park.

"Those registers were pretty painful. We had to key all SKU data and pricing information manually into the units. Credit card processing was slow, cumbersome and not PCI (Payment Card Industry) compliant."

To remedy this, DelGrosso's seamlessly integrated AccuPOS with Sage 100 ERP, which provided sophisticated yet easy-to-use POS functionality.

"Prior to this, we would have to start from scratch, entering each of the item numbers and prices one by one. It took hours to complete. Now a terminal can be brought online very quickly because the data is fed directly from our Sage 100 ERP software," said Walters.

DelGrosso's has also integrated Sage Payment Solutions for credit card processing. The company uses the Sage Virtual Terminal, plus has several physical terminals for its retail locations.

"With Sage Payment Solutions, we have expanded credit card acceptance to every register, which increases sales and promotes better customer service. Plus we are now fully PCI compliant and following best practice standards for the industry."

The entire easy-to-use system has also resulted in a significant labor savings.

"We've been able to cut the time it takes to train new employees by 75 percent," said Walters. "Our Sage system is simple to use, and our young staff members identify immediately with using touchscreens. Since we are working with relevant and current data, we now have access to data that we could not even begin to collect and analyze before."
