Deloitte and Women of Influence Announce Alliance

Collaboration Strengthens Ability to Advance Female Leaders, Promote Gender Diversity and Help Companies Create a More Inclusive Workforce

TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - June 01, 2015) - Deloitte and Women of Influence announced today that they have entered into a strategic alliance. The agreement, which builds on a long-standing relationship between the two organizations, will enable them to make greater strides in advancing inclusion through gender diversity in the workplace.

"We have sponsored Women of Influence since its inception over 20 years ago. This alliance extends our shared vision of promoting and supporting business leaders in creating an inclusive workplace from the boardroom to the front-line customer, thereby enhancing inclusion and diversity at every level," said Heather Stockton, leader of the Human Capital practice. Many organizations have diversity in their policy documents, but they often struggle to bring those values to life. "By working together, we'll be better positioned to help clients and Deloitte implement inclusion and diversity strategies, develop female leaders, and reap the rewards of a more gender diverse workforce."

Inclusion and diversity are increasingly important in corporate boardrooms and government organizations across Canada -- as both a business imperative and more recently in some provinces as a compliance issue. For Deloitte, this strategic alliance augments our Human Capital Consulting practice by aligning with a visible brand to accelerate the delivery of Inclusion & Diversity consulting services and learning programs in collaboration with Women of Influence.

"This alliance will help us increase our impact on women's advancement, gender diversity and inclusion in the workplace, and overall the success of our community and corporate clients. Women of Influence has been connecting, inspiring and leading Canadian women's advancement for over 20 years, and we have a solid understanding of the best practices for developing high-potential female talent for the executive ranks," said Carolyn Lawrence, president and CEO of Women of Influence Inc. "By leveraging Deloitte's consulting expertise and global reach, we'll be better positioned to help companies make their gender diversity and inclusion initiatives more focused, powerful and effective."
