Engineered for a low capital acquisition and on-going running cost, the Delphax elan 500 combines Memjet's advanced inkjet print heads with Delphax's high-speed paper-handling technology in a robust production class sheet-fed system. In doing so, the elan 500 delivers full CMYK color and 1600 dpi print quality at unrivaled speeds up to 500 A4 images per minute.

In the direct mail market, the elan 500 eliminates the need for pre-printed shells, combining printing and personalization with full-color duplex in one pass. The larger, SRA2 (457 mm x 600 mm) format size of the elan 500 opens up a variety of production and application opportunities that are not possible with smaller format devices. The elan 500 also allows customers to print on a wide variety of substrates.

Powerful by design, the elan 500 is differentiated by its high-quality Memjet inkjet print heads, its optional ability to print up to six colors or effects (including up to 2 spot colors, MICR and florescent inks), and its configurability for special applications.
