DELSEY Announces Three Cutting-Edge Features on the Latest Luggage Collections

DELSEY: Driven by Innovation

PARIS, FRANCE--(Marketwired - Mar 11, 2014) - For over 65 years DELSEY, the iconic French brand known for blending timeless quality and audacious design, has been creating luggage to make connections seamless. From the 1972 launch of Airstyle, the first wheeled upright, to the 2013 award winning DELSEY Helium Aero, the first hard-side case with a hard-side exterior pocket, DELSEY is known for avant-garde travel inspired designs.

This year, DELSEY is once again changing the way people connect, with three new innovations that make travel easy:

DELSEY CHATELET
This new collection embodies everything DELSEY. The one-of-a-kind brake system is activated with a single nob located under the telescoping handle, and locks the two front wheels of the luggage, preventing the bag from drifting away while allowing travelers to roll the bag on the two back wheels. The unmistakably French style is classic and tasteful with rich leather finishing on the lightweight, resistant MAKROLON® polycarbonate case.

Third Generation Over Weight Indicator
This unique patent-pending DELSEY device allows travelers to make important packing decisions from wherever they may be, and not at the check-in counter at the airport. When luggage is packed, travelers simply lift the bag by the top carry handle and a red mark signals when bags exceeds the standard 50 pound weight restriction enforced by most airlines. Built into the carry handle of the case, the mechanically operated DELSEY Over Weight Indicator is impossible to forget!

DELSEY SOLUTION
The new DELSEY SOLUTION collection is created for urban travelers looking for lightweight, flexible luggage. These four wheel foldable trolley cases can collapse to reduce volume by 75% with a few easy snaps, and can fit underneath a bed or in other small spaces. Thanks to the unstructured front panel, volume can be optimized and more items can be packed. DELSEY SOLUTIONS offers an attractive bag for anyone with limited storage.
