Delta Uranium Reports Initial Drill Results at Bee Lake

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 4, 2008) - Delta Uranium Inc. ("Delta" or the "Company") (TSX:DUR) is pleased to announce the results of diamond drilling at the Bee Lake uranium zone on the Company's 100% owned Kenora Uranium Project in northwest Ontario. Average assay results include 1.65 metres of 1005 ppm U3O8 (2.01 pounds per ton) in hole BL08-001 and 10.50 metres of 146 ppm U3O8 (0.29 pounds per ton) in hole BL08-016.

The following table presents average assay results for six diamond drill holes, which were drilled in three pairs at dips of -45 degrees and -65 degrees over a length of 150 metres. Only results over 100 ppm U3O8 are reported, with averages calculated using an across-the-zone cutoff of 50 ppm. Core lengths are reported, and no estimate is made of true widths, as the dips of the granite-pegmatite sills are not well defined.

An additional six holes were drilled at Bee Lake, one pair 360 metres east of the main group of holes, and two pairs 1100 metres east. All of these holes intersected radioactive granite and pegmatite, but none returned values over the 100 ppm U3O8 threshold.

Extension Drilling at Depth and Westward Planned

The ranges of grades and widths encountered at Bee Lake show similarities to other uranium-bearing zones drilled by Delta on its Kenora Uranium Project. Of particular interest is the increase in width from hole BL08-015 (drilled at -45 degrees) to BL08-016 (drilled from the same collar at -65 degrees). Also, the best grades are in holes BL08-001 and BL08-002, at the west end of the drilled area, shortly before the zone disappears westwards under overburden. Additional drilling is planned for this area, to test the downward and westward extensions of the mineralization.

The Bee Lake mineralized zone is at the extreme west end of what appears to be a 4.5 kilometre long trend containing several parallel zones of granite and pegmatite. Proceeding east from the main cluster of diamond drill holes, most of the first 2 kilometres is covered by water or overburden, but thereafter the zone curves round to a more north-south strike direction and is well exposed on higher ground. Recent prospecting and sampling activity has located spectacular uranium mineralization on surface in the Petursson Lake zone. Details from the Petursson Lake zone will be released once all assay results have been received.
