Deltak Partners With Boston University to Launch New Online Graduate Law Degree

Education Service Provider to Introduce Second Online Master's Degree Program With University

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - Jun 12, 2012) - Deltak edu, LLC, a leading provider of online higher education services, is expanding its partnership with Boston University to launch BU's Master of Law degree (LL.M.) in Taxation in an online format. This is the second master's degree program Deltak has introduced online with the University, having launched its Master of Social Work degree in 2011. Boston University's graduate tax program, which was started in 1959 and was among the first of its kind in the country, has been ranked fifth among American law schools offering the program, according to the 2013 edition of U.S. News and World Report's rankings.

Deltak, which has successfully launched more than 100 online degree programs for colleges and universities around the country, will assist Boston University in bringing its enriching LL.M. in Taxation degree online. The program reflects a mastery of the practice, ethics and subtleties of tax law and prepares students for a variety of careers through electives, allowing students to concentrate on courses that allow for exposure to all areas of tax or courses that will prepare them for specialization in a particular area, such as business organizations and transactions; estate planning and wealth management; or international tax. The same quality educational experience offered to on-campus students will now be offered online.

"Boston University is an exceptional institution, and the decision to offer its LL.M. in Taxation online will open the door for recent law school graduates as well as practicing lawyers across the United States and internationally to participate in one of the premier programs in the country," said CEO and President of Deltak Craig Pines. "Deltak is excited to be launching a second online master's degree program with Boston University. We value our partnership with BU, and we look forward to replicating the success of the Master of Social Work by expanding the reach of LL.M. in Taxation program to a broader audience."

"We are excited about partnering with Deltak to support the launch of our new online LL.M. in Taxation," said Maureen A. O'Rourke, Dean and Professor of Law for Boston University School of Law. "Deltak has a proven track record of supporting online programming at Boston University, and we look forward to working together to ensure that interested candidates receive top-notch service, from the moment they inquire about the program to their enrollment."

Online classes for Boston University's LL.M. in Taxation will begin in September 2012. For more information about Boston University's Graduate Tax Program, visit
