DEMO Spring 2011 Conference Kicks Off With Launch of New Class of Emerging Technologies

Consumer, Enterprise and Cloud Technologies Take the Stage

PALM DESERT, CA--(Marketwire - February 28, 2011) - Today, the world-renowned DEMO conference officially kicked off its DEMO Spring 2011 conference where 27 companies took the stage to launch products in the consumer, enterprise and cloud technology sectors. Matt Marshall, executive producer of DEMO, got the morning underway with a state-of-the-industry address which was followed by each demonstrating company's six minute presentation. DEMO is a semi-annual event that brings together technology innovators, decision-makers, press and investors for two full days of access to some of the most intriguing products and companies that are pushing today's technology boundaries across industries and across the globe. In addition to the elite demonstrator class, DEMO Spring again showcased its AlphaPitch program, where early stage entrepreneurs and pre-launch mode companies had 90 seconds to share their prototypes to the critical DEMO audience.

In addition to the featured speakers, Matt Marshall also sat down for several one-on-one conversations with industry thought leaders. First, he spoke with George Hu, executive vice president, platform and marketing, Salesforce.com about how sales happen in the new of age of social and data networking. Later, he discussed how social media is affecting security in the enterprise with Tom Gillis, vice president and general manager, Security Technology Business Unit, Cisco Systems. Marshall concluded his one-on-one chats with Jake Mintz, co-founder, Bump who spoke about how social trends are affecting the product building process.
