Denihan Hospitality Group Named Among Inc. Magazine's Fastest Growing Companies -- the Inc. 500|5000 -- for Third Year in a Row

Magazine Unveils 30th Annual List of America's Fastest-Growing Companies

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - Oct 4, 2011) - Denihan Hospitality Group has been recognized by Inc. magazine as one of the fastest-growing private companies in America in 2011, placing the full-service hotel management and development company on its coveted Inc. 500|5000 list for the third year in a row. Denihan was one of only four hospitality owner/operators to be included on the 2011 list and was top among companies in the full-service, upper upscale hotel sector.

Denihan Hospitality Group has been owned and operated since 1962 by members of the Denihan family, who, in the last 50 years, have built the company from one hotel -- the 129-suite Affinia Gardens -- to a collection of highly-rated, highly profitable hotels in New York City, Chicago, Washington, D.C. and Miami. Today the portfolio includes properties operated under The James and Affinia Hotels brands, luxury independents including The Surrey and The Benjamin, which were recently named to Travelocity's 2011 Top 10 List of Favorite New York City Hotels, as well as others. Most recently, Denihan announced the opening of The James New York - SoHo, as well as the addition of the Royal Palm Miami to its collection. With the aid of a capital infusion from a recent partnership with Pebblebrook Hotel Trust (NYSE: PEB), the privately held company is actively pursuing new opportunities to further build its brands and extend its reach in key urban markets nationwide.

"We are honored to be recognized once again by Inc. magazine, especially this year as we join the very short list of companies that have appeared on the list multiple times," said Brooke Denihan Barrett, owner and co-CEO of Denihan Hospitality Group. "This salute to our company is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of our associates -- from hotel staff to leadership -- and we proudly thank everyone for their efforts to set Denihan Hospitality Group and our hotels apart as a leader in the hospitality industry."

The 2011 Inc. 500 list was unveiled in the September issue of Inc. magazine, and takes a comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy -- America's independent-minded entrepreneurs. The list is ranked according to percentage revenue growth between 2007 to 2010. Additionally, companies must be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent -- not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies -- to be considered for the list. Past members of the Inc. 500 list include Microsoft, Zappos, Intuit and American Apparel.
