Dental Assisting Information Session at CDI College in Victoria

Learn how you could be ready for a dental career in less than a year

VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Jan. 3, 2014) - Dental assistants continue to be in high-demand across British Columbia. According to WorkBC, job opportunities will continue to increase thanks to the demand for dental services by a growing population. Those looking to train for a career as a dental assistant can learn more at an Information Session about CDI College in Victoria on January 7, 2014.

"Dental assistants are key members of any dental team and dentists rely on them to be versatile and well-trained," says Larry Heinzlmeir, VP of Marketing for CDI College. "Through hands-on training, students in the Dental Assisting program hone the skill set needed to be effective, skilled and reliable professionals on the job."

Guests at the Information Session will learn about the dental assisting field, including wages and career opportunities. They'll learn more about CDI's Dental Assisting program and how it prepares graduates for the National Dental Assisting Examination Board (NDAEB) exam. They'll also have the opportunity to tour the campus, check out the brand new dental lab and chat with instructors and staff.

In just 45 weeks, students in the Dental Assisting program study anatomy, physiology, oral facial sciences, pathology, dental radiography and more. They also learn about prevention of disease transmission, preventative dentistry, nutrition and practice management.

Along with time spent in the classroom and lab on campus, Dental Assisting students also gain hands-on experience in two separate practicum placements, working in a private practice with a dentist.

The Dental Assisting Info Session takes place at CDI College in Victoria on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 from 5:30-6:30pm. Check in at 5:00pm. For more information, visit cdicollege.ca or call 1.877.404.4353. Learn more about CDI College on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
