Dentsu America Announces Appointment of Jeff Hinson as Account Lead on New Orleans Tourism Marketing Corporation Team

Hinson Joins Dentsu America From Emeril Lagasse's Restaurant, Media and Merchandising Business

NEW ORLEANS, LA--(Marketwire - Aug 7, 2012) -  Dentsu America has named Jeff Hinson as their local account lead for the New Orleans Tourism Marketing Corporation (NOTMC).

Hinson joins the New Orleans Tourism Marketing Corporation from Emeril's Homebase where he served as National Public Relations Manager. In this role, he managed New Orleans-based Emeril Lagasse's corporate communications and public relations, conducted consumer research to enhance the guest experience, and supported the company's marketing, culinary and operations. A seasoned retail, hospitality and entertainment professional, Hinson developed and directed national campaigns for Lagasse's restaurants, books, branded products, television shows and media ventures.

A graduate of Tulane University, Hinson managed national print and broadcast media productions for Food Network, Sports Illustrated, Southern Living, and Bravo's "Top Chef." He directed publicity for high impact regional and national events such as Macy's New Orleans grand reopening, PGA's Zurich Classic, and South Beach Wine & Food Festival. He also directed cause-related marketing and fundraising campaigns for non-profit organizations Emeril Lagasse Foundation, Miami Children's Hospital Foundation and Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans and Acadiana. In addition, Hinson represented the brand in its partnership with Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia.

Prior to joining Emeril's Homebase in 2007, Hinson worked with Sirius Satellite Radio and the National Football League in online marketing, information technology and media relations.

In his new position with Dentsu America, Hinson will continue to be based in New Orleans and will be located in the offices of the New Orleans Tourism Marketing Corporation. There he will work closely with NOTMC management, Dentsu America and local agency partner Spears Consulting Group, one of the fastest growing and premier marketing, public relations and advertising firms in the Greater New Orleans Metropolitan area.

 Dentsu America won the New Orleans Tourism Marketing Corporation (NOTMC) account in July following a competitive pitch by eight advertising agencies. The new agency will promote New Orleans as a leisure tourism destination.
