DENVER, CO--(Marketwire - Sep 12, 2012) - Arthouse Design (www.arthousedenver.com), a Denver-based graphic design studio offering branding, print and electronic design, and environmental graphics (2D/3D way finding, and signage design) worldwide, today announced that it has completed a re-branding project for the Denver Merchandise Mart -- now known simply as the Denver Mart (www.denvermart.com). The Denver Mart is the Rocky Mountain region's premier wholesale and trade show center, and also is home to more than 350 permanent show rooms offering wholesale gift, home, jewelry, resort industries, apparel and accessories, and western wear.
The Arthouse Design team re-branding work included designing a new logo that makes use of modern typefaces and a universal graphic symbol that reflects the wide variety of activities and offerings at the Denver Mart. Arthouse Design also worked as part of the naming team, resulting in the name changing from the Denver Merchandise Mart to the simpler Denver Mart. The new terra cotta color palette brings warmth and a casual, laid-back Western feel to the new logo as well.
The new brand developed by Arthouse Design for the Denver Mart will manifest anywhere the logo needs to appear including the Denver Mart's Web site, letterhead, sales and promotional materials, and more.
"Arthouse Design was tasked with re-branding the Denver Merchandise Mart to rejuvenate and update the brand of a well-known facility that's been in operation for 45 years," noted Marty Gregg, Arthouse Design founder and principal. "There's a whole different thought process and creative process that comes into play with this type of scenario. For example, as a branding and design team, we needed to find a balance between honoring that history and also injecting a fresh new look and feel to their logo. Our intent was to develop that fresh new look and also design it to stand the test of time."
