Mracek Brings Talent Analytics and Assessment Experience to Industry-Leading Virtual Job Tryout


CLEVELAND, OH--(Marketwired - Aug 4, 2015) - SHAKER, the market leader in custom simulations for pre-employment testing, announced that Derek Mracek, Ph.D., has joined the firm's Research and Development and Client Insights teams as an analyst.

Mracek will utilize his selection science experience to conduct talent analytics and document business impact from hiring data. In addition, he will work on new product design for talent acquisition. Working with the R&D and Client Insights teams simultaneously, Mracek's contributions will explore SHAKER's big data sets to identify evidence-based innovations for talent acquisition technology. Mracek will leverage his background in industrial-organizational (I-O) psychology as well as his deep research and analysis experience to succeed in this position.

Prior to joining SHAKER, Mracek conducted workforce research at ACT, Inc., helping people achieve education and workplace success. He also spent time as a research scientist at the Center for Applied Social Research, where he worked on various grants awarded by the Department of Defense. Earlier in his career, Mracek worked as a consultant for Questar, helping design an employee engagement survey and 360-degree feedback program. A recent graduate of the University of Oklahoma, Mracek holds his Ph.D. in I-O psychology with additional work in quantitative psychology. He also has his master's degree in I-O psychology from East Carolina University and a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Minnesota, Duluth.
