Designers Glen Peloso and Jamie Alexander Named Show Ambassadors for Toronto Gift Fair

TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - October 21, 2015) - The Canadian Gift Association (CanGift) has named celebrated Canadian designers Glen Peloso and Jamie Alexander as show ambassadors for the Toronto Gift Fair.

Co-founders and principals of design firm Peloso Alexander Interiors, Glen and Jamie are frequent TV guests, having been seen on the Marilyn Denis Show, Global Morning News, Breakfast Television Toronto, HGTV and the Food Network. Both designers, along with their firm's work, have been featured in print -- Glen writes a regular design column for the Toronto Star, while Jamie contributes biweekly to the Toronto Sun.

With a combined 40 years experience working with clients in commercial, hospitality and residential design, Glen and Jamie plan to bring a rejuvenated look to the show. Retail buyers and exhibitors can expect to see their new design concept revealed at the Spring 2016 Toronto Gift Fair, which runs from January 31 to February 4.

"We couldn't be more excited to be working with the Toronto Gift Fair," says designer Glen Peloso. "We've been attending this show for the last 20 years and have a unique perspective being designers and retailers, as well as having been wholesale buyers over the course of our careers."

"We're looking forward to making this show better than ever by bringing to life a vibrant and fantastic experience for retailers, designers and association members exhibiting at the show," adds design partner Jamie Alexander.

At the Toronto Gift Fair, retailers find a range of products from housewares to home décor, crafts, decorations and more to stock their shelves for the holiday season.

"The Toronto Gift Fair is the largest buying forum in the Canadian gift industry," Karen Bassels, Vice President, CanGift Fairs explains. "Working with well-respected designers like Glen and Jamie allows us to create a new level of inspiration for the retailers who attend the show."

With over one million square feet of display space at both the Toronto Congress Centre and The International Centre, the Toronto Gift Fair is Canada's largest temporary trade gift show. The event provides retailers the chance to see products up close and discover the latest trends from exhibitors who use the fair to launch new product lines.
