Designers Respond to Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami Tragedy With T-Shirt Art Inspiring Hope and Support

CafePress Invites Community to Design for Charity

SAN MATEO, CA--(Marketwire - March 11, 2011) - In the wake of the 8.9-magnitude earthquake and subsequent Pacific Tsunami that swept through northern Japan early this morning, leaving a path of unthinkable destruction, people throughout the world have begun to respond with messages of support.

With the overwhelming level of impact and destruction affecting so many lives, CafePress shopkeepers immediately began submitting T-shirt designs to the CafePress Marketplace. In support of this effort, starting today CafePress is pledging a donation of 10% of the final purchase price of all Japan disaster relief products sold on the CafePress Marketplace to the American Red Cross.* Details for design submissions are posted on the CafePress community message board, and CafePress encourages continued design submissions inspiring hope.

"We are continually moved by the support we see from our community of Shopkeepers when tragedy strikes," said Marc Cowlin, CafePress Director of Marketing. "Expressive designs help raise awareness and we're pleased to support this effort with a donation to the cause."
