Coming to Marriott after recently serving as Executive Chef at one of the most exciting and tantalizing seafood restaurants in Destin, Sallman's experience encompasses more than menu planning. In addition to a complete overview of the menu, its recipes, ingredients and trends, his experience in an upscale yet casual, high volume establishment, included restaurant renovation projects and the organization and execution of numerous high profile concerts at the restaurant's club venue. Sallman's well-rounded history as an Executive Chef also reflects service at Café Provence, a Classical French restaurant offering a unique fine dining experience.

Before moving to Destin and surrounding himself among stylish Destin golf resorts, Sallman was Sous Chef of the Boheme, a distinctive fine dining restaurant located within the Westin Grand Bohemian, a luxury boutique hotel in Orlando, Florida. During his time at the Boheme, he was recognized with a certificate of appreciation for being part of the team that brought an AAA Four Diamond rating to the restaurant and hotel property in its first year of operation. Sallman received a degree in Culinary Arts from Johnson & Wales University located in Miami, FL.

Residing in Santa Rosa Beach with his wife and daughter, Sallman is stepping into community endeavors and is currently training as a volunteer fire fighter for Walton County.
