Dew Tour Announces Expanded Music Initiative Including DJ/Athlete Collaborations With DJ SKEE for Original Event Inspired Songs

Dew Tour to Feature Biggest Lineup of Live Performances Including Lupe Fiasco and Wolfgang Gartner in Ocean City, Md.

BURR RIDGE, IL--(Marketwire - Aug 15, 2012) - The Dew Tour today announced a partnership with hip hop DJ and radio personality DJ SKEE, SKEE TV and Build Destroy Music to create ten original songs, as well as a digital series around the Dew Tour sound. The tracks will be completely original and serve as the theme song and complete score to the 33 hours of NBC Sports broadcast coverage of the 2012 Dew Tour. Build Destroy Music's roster of sought after producers and DJs created this content exclusively for the Dew Tour. The Dew Tour consists of three marquee events that are premium action sports and lifestyle festivals. The partnership expands on Dew Tour's new bigger, better model that features the most comprehensive on-site music lineup in the tour's history, kicking off in Ocean City, Md. with headliners Lupe Fiasco and Wolfgang Gartner.

As part of the creative process Dew Tour athletes including Steve McCann, Bucky Lasek, Greg Lutzka, Kyle Baldock and Colton Satterfield, joined SKEE and producers THX and Smashtronauts in the studio providing inspiration and feedback during the creative process. For the first time the athletes will be co-producers in the music featured at the Dew Tour, enhancing athlete integration as part of the new Dew Tour model.

The ten original tracks include a theme song that will be featured in the show open throughout the entire season, along with three original songs per event. The original event tracks will encompass the identity and character of their respective Beach, City and Mountain location. You can preview the Dew Tour broadcast show open featuring the theme song track "Omnivore" produced by Ian Osbourne as well as the Dew Tour NBC promo spot featuring track "Drop Top II" by SKEE producer THX on the Dew Tour website.

"This is the most unique and exciting thing we've brought to the table for Dew Tour's music program since we started eight years ago. Music is such a key component of action sports. It's really impactful for the foundation of our music series to directly involve the athletes in the creative process and to develop completely original tracks," said BJ Carretta, Vice President of Marketing and Communications, Alli Sports. "Working with DJ SKEE and his camp elevates the program for us with his impressive list of producers and expansive distribution platform to accompany our NBC broadcasts and digital presence."

"I'm excited to be a part of something so innovative and fresh with the Dew Tour. Bringing together the athletes with our team of artists was an amazing creative process that will really pull through the feel of each event, uniting the best in music and the best inaction sports for the ultimate collaboration," DJ SKEE said. "I can't wait for everyone to experience each of the original tracks."

One of the highest regarded DJ's in the world, DJ SKEE has four Sirius/XM radio shows, a show on KIIS-FM in Los Angeles, a leading, media, marketing and online entertainment company in SKEE TV and was recently named to Billboard Magazine's coveted "30 Under 30" industry Power Players. The multi-hybrid music mogul launched the SKEE TV platform in 2007 and has quickly built it into one of the most successful producers of original content and music marketing initiatives on the web, orchestrating campaigns for Fortune 500 companies including Daimler-Chrysler and T-Mobile, as well as producing some of the most viewed music videos of all time from artists such as Far East Movement, New Boyz, Soulja Boy, Tell Em, Chris Cornell and The Game.

Under the direction of SKEE TV and the DJ SKEE team, Dew Tour produced six short videos featuring the Dew Tour athletes in-studio, which will be distributed through SKEE channels in conjunction with Alli Sports and NBC Sports, a tease of that series can be viewed on the Dew Tour website.
