Dexterra Unveils a New Developer Productivity Solution for the Award-Winning Dexterra Concert™ Platform

Enhanced Mobile Development Tools Accelerate BlackBerry Application Development for Enterprises

BOTHELL, WA and ORLANDO, FL--(Marketwire - May 5, 2009) - Wireless Enterprise Symposium 2009 -- Dexterra, Inc., a leading provider of software to automate and manage mobile workforces, today announced new enhancements to its mobile application development platform, Dexterra Concert™. With this release, over 160 Dexterra customers and partners worldwide will be able to leverage this upgrade to accelerate the development of mobile applications on the latest BlackBerry® smartphones including the BlackBerry® Storm™, BlackBerry® Bold™, BlackBerry® Curve™ series and BlackBerry® Pearl series smartphones.

Enhancements to Dexterra Concert that will empower developers to easily create mobile applications optimized to work across all types of BlackBerry smartphones include:

-- Application configurations to optimize the on-screen layout for
different screen resolutions without maintaining multiple code branches
-- Support for "gestures" as implemented on the BlackBerry Storm
-- New horizontal and vertical "carousel" controls for quickly building
    rich application home pages

"Mobility is a key strategic consideration for enterprises, and Dexterra Concert helps organizations easily extend their corporate applications to mobile workers on the BlackBerry platform with support for the variety of BlackBerry smartphones available today," said Jeff McDowell, Vice President, Global Alliances, Research In Motion.

The latest version of Dexterra Concert embodies all the trademark features of its predecessor along with optimizations to provide developers with an easy way to build and quickly deploy mobile applications across the various BlackBerry smartphone models without additional programming effort. The Dexterra Concert developer productivity solution also eliminates the need for developers to compromise on the usability and "look-and-feel" of their applications thereby delivering a better end user experience.

Additional enhancements to Dexterra Concert include time and money saving options such as pre-built toolbars and templates that optimize developer productivity, and configurable "themes" for specifying an application's user interface. Dexterra Concert leverages an enterprise's existing back-office and legacy systems as well as new investments, allowing businesses to reduce operational costs, increase productivity and improve management visibility into field operations.

"Dexterra's extensive DevNetwork is dedicated to building the very best mobile applications and providing innovative solutions that help businesses gain a competitive advantage while at the same time providing a better user experience for their mobile workers," said Rob O'Farrell, general manager of Mobile Platform and Tools at Dexterra. "The Dexterra DevNetwork has already been leveraged successfully by customers such as Verizon, Regency Centers and DJO, as well as Safelite Autoglass, which is a finalist in this year's Wireless Leadership Awards presented at WES."

"At Safelite we needed to achieve our mobile and application development objectives quickly and painlessly, so we turned to Dexterra mobility solutions to mobilize our field operations," said Chris Delong, Director Open Systems, Safelite Autoglass. "Since deploying Dexterra to more than 3,000 of our field technicians, we have realized significant gains in customer service and employee productivity. We have had such tremendous ROI on this project that we are attracting and retaining better technicians with greater expertise, and this translates into better service for Safelite customers."
