DFO/Media Advisory: Regan Announces New Measures for Reform of Pacific Fisheries

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - June 15, 2005) - Geoff Regan, Minister of Fisheries and Oceans, will Thursday be announcing new measures to advance his agenda for reform of Pacific fisheries. This announcement is a response to two reports on the Fraser River salmon fishery submitted in the spring of 2005: the Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans (SCOFO) report and the 2004 Post-Season Review by Bryan Williams.



Minister Regan will be available to answer questions from the media
at a news conference.
