DIAGNOS Announces a First Client in Oil and Gas Sector-JUNEX

BROSSARD, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 18, 2005) - DIAGNOS inc. ("DIAGNOS" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:ADK), a leader in knowledge extraction and artificial intelligence, announced today the signature of an agreement of use of its CARDS (Computer Aided Resource Detection Software) system on the Junex properties, a company of oil and gas exploration which holds four million acres under licence of exploration in Quebec.

For the last eight months, the DIAGNOS team has been working on seismic, geophysics, geochemical and geological public data in order to extract knowledge from them and to integrate them into its CARDS system. The Company is proud to announce that it concluded an agreement with its first customer in the oil and gas sector. During the last four months, the work done was concentrated on the Junex property located in the area of Becancour. The result obtained clearly demonstrates that the oil and gas market can profit from the technological contribution of CARDS. Moreover, the CARDS system will make it possible for Junex to concentrate their efforts on more or less 5% of the total surface of their property. The Junex team of geologists has the sole responsibility of identifying the targets.

"DIAGNOS' technology has already demonstrated its efficiency in the mining sector and we believe it will help our geologists identify some promising drilling targets for natural gas on the north shore of the St. Lawrence river where a gas field has already been discovered (Pointe-du-Lac) and where numerous wells have showed presence of natural gas, particularly in the Batiscan-Champlain region" commented the president of Junex Mr Jean-Yves Lavoie, P. Eng.

For its part, Mr Andre Larente, president of DIAGNOS, declared: "We can affirm today that after six years of efforts and nearly five million dollars of investments, DIAGNOS, via its CARDS system, will become in the near future a working tool impossible to circumvent for companies in the mining and oil sectors."

DIAGNOS inc. develops and markets data mining software. The Company designed, developed and markets MCubiX, a data mining software suite capable of extracting knowledge from historical data - in the form of images, text or traditional databases - and making predictions that improve business processes and decision making ability. CARDS (Computer Aided Resource Detection Software) can be applied to several sectors of prospecting, such as diamond, gold, zinc, copper and the oil and gas, and each one of these resources require a distinct methodology endorsed by the application.

The Company's objective is to develop a royalty stream by significantly increasing the exploration success rate of mining and oil and gas companies around the world.

Active in the natural resources sector, Junex is a unique company in Quebec since it is the only natural brine and natural gas producer in the Province. In parallel to its production activities, located in the Becancour area (brine) and in Gaspe (natural gas), Junex continues its efforts to develop a natural gas underground storage facility beneath the Becancour industrial park. With more than 4 million acres under exploration permit in Quebec (including the permits held by Petrolia on which Junex holds a 50% interest in future production), Junex is also the leading oil and gas producer and explorer in the province. Junex also holds a 19% interest in the stock of Petrolia (PEA:TSX Venture).
