Diamant Art Corporation Announces the Market Potential for Advantageous New Segment of the Company

Revealing of the Potential Market Size and Retail Distribution Capability of Diamant's Fully Compostable Bags

TORONTO--(Marketwire - August 13, 2008) - Diamant Art Corporation (http://www.diamantfilm.com ) (OTCBB: DIAAF) is pleased to announce that through its wholly owned subsidiary Bio-Plastics Film Inc. the Company is prepared to process orders and deliver compostable plastic according to current escalating demand.

The Company has acquired the means necessary to deliver on sizable purchase orders as the demand for this new compostable alternative continues to evolve. There is a wide spectrum of varying statistics on the consumption of plastic bags published, but a common estimate is that global consumption of plastic bags is over 500 billion plastic bags annually; that's 500,000,000,000 plastic bags used per year. Utilizing this average, that would equate to almost 1 million plastic bags used per minute, yielding a potential residual market of approximately 100,000 bags per minute if only 1% of the market is acquired.

The proprietary formulation of the resin has been specifically designed for the bag to compost in the same time frame as the product that it is containing. For example, if a banana peel takes 89 days to compost, then so will the bags containing them. If the product(s) take three months to decompose, also will the bag. The speed of the composting contents becomes the triggering component that set the speed of decomposition. Consequently, if the bags are being sent to a compost site and the average composting time is 100 days then that will be the duration of the bag.

This diversification in the marketing strategy of the Company comes in light of the growing paradigm shift in the plastic industry, and the heavy anticipated demand for biodegradable and compostable bags based on the outlawing of traditional plastic bags.

Recently announced was the landmark decision passed by the Los Angeles City Council recently voted to ban plastic shopping bags from stores, beginning July 1, 2010. The council voted unanimously. Diamant Film is dedicated to respond to the growing demands of this swiftly evolving ecologically conscious market.
