Diamant Art Corporation Persists With Awareness Efforts as Santa Monica Mobilizes to Ban Non Degradable Plastic Grocery Bags

TORONTO--(Marketwire - March 19, 2008) - Diamant Corporation (OTCBB: DIAAF) is pleased to announce that the Company continues to create exposure for their proprietary bio degradable additive currently available to all plastic bag manufacturers Nationwide in light of the growing demands of this swiftly evolving ecologically conscious market. With the industry currently experiencing a notable shift in demand for biodegradable alternatives, Santa Monica mobilizes to unite with San Francisco in their efforts to become an environmentally cleaner society.

The measure, supported by Heal the Bay, an influential environmental organization based in Santa Monica, is aimed at accelerating a shift away from highly polluting plastic bags in favor of reusable canvas and degradable alternatives.

"This is the farthest-reaching bag ban in the United States, if not the world," said Mark Gold, president of Heal the Bay. "It's a bold move by Santa Monica that . . . we hope serves as a model for California and beyond." Gold said Malibu, Los Angeles and Long Beach were watching Santa Monica's actions.

Legislators Nationwide, such as Wisconsin Representative Mr. Mark Pocan, have assembled to bring ecological reform. Rep. Mark Pocan, D-Madison, and Sen. Bob Jauch, D-Poplar, have recently introduced a bill in Wisconsin that would ban retail stores from using non-friendly environmental shopping bags.

Diamant Corporation recently announced that the Company has achieved a commercial level of inventory which allows the company the capability of delivering enough of its proprietary bio-degradable additive to generate in the range of 1.5 billion grocery bags, or create 16,500,000 Lbs of Bio-Degradable plastic that may be used to produce pallet wrap or Food film. The Company expects that this high volume availability will be a leading factor in the company's rise to becoming a leader in the industry.
