Diamant Corporation Announces Striking Statistics for Waste Management in the Bottling Industry

TORONTO--(Marketwire - May 9, 2008) - Diamant Corporation (OTCBB: DIAAF) announced today that, through its wholly owned subsidiary Bio-Plastics Film Inc., as the Company prepares a proprietary solution to degrade consumer plastic bottles, such as water and soda bottles, striking statistics indicate that the overwhelming demand for this revolutionary additive is likely to make its segment a leading revenue generator for the Company.

Diamant intends to exclusively distribute the additive to Numerous North American Bottlers who will begin conducting initial joint trials of their own with Diamant's subsidiary Bio-Plastics Film Inc. By utilizing the proprietary additive, these evaluations will determine the integration suitability for North American Plastic Bottling Manufacturing Systems.

According to an article published on www.container-recycling.org, the number of plastic water bottles sold in the US grew from 4 billion in 1997 to an estimated 26 billion in 2005, while the number thrown away increased from 3.4 billion to 22 billion. "Plastic bottle waste is not just a national problem in the US, it's a national disgrace. Without a nationwide system of deposits, expansion of existing deposit laws or some other dramatic new collection infrastructure, America faces a growing mountain of plastic bottle waste with all of the resulting social and environmental consequences," stated Pat Franklin, Executive Director of the Container Recycling Institute, based in Washington, DC. CRI is a non-profit organization that studies container and packaging recycling options and provides a clearinghouse for information on beverage container recycling.

The revolutionary bottling additive is a proprietary material that is blended into polyethylene terephthalate (PET) which additional to its biodegrading qualities has the capability of giving it an exceptional glass-like clarity, gloss and extended barrier protection. PET bottles and containers infused with this can now be used to package a range of shelf-stable products, including salsas, pasta and barbecue sauces, tomato ketchups, similar steak and table hot sauces, jams, jellies, juices, and bottled beverages such as sodas and water.

Diamant Art Corporation (OTCBB: DIAAF), through its wholly owned subsidiary Diamant Film Inc. (www.diamantfilm.com) and Bio-Plastics Film Inc., is the world's first plasticizer-free and the first food wrap film that is environmentally friendly and recyclable. Diamant's Bio-Products contain Totally Degradable Plastic Additive. Unlike other plastic, once biodegrading is complete, all that remains is carbon dioxide, water and biomass, all of which are part of the normal bio-cycle. Diamant™ Film has received the ECO logo certified by the Environmental Choice™ Program. The Environmental Choice™ Program is North America's leading benchmark of environmentally responsible products and services and the sole supplier of The Nor-X additive in North America.
