Diamond Discoveries Starts Drilling On Torngat Property

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Aug. 31, 2005) - Diamond Discoveries International Corp.(OTCBB:DMDD) has been informed by Watts, Griffis and McOuat (WGM) that the 2005 drill program has commenced. Geophysical interpretation of the McPhar Geosurveys Ltd. airborne magnetic survey data has now been received from Patterson, Grant and Watson Ltd.(PWG). PWG has identified 40 targets, 10 first priority, 23 second and 7 third priority targets. Some of these targets correlate with kimberlitic dykes previously identified on the property. Several targets coincide with a number of new dykes not previously sampled.

"The first hole will target one of the anomalies selected by WGM from the recent airborne survey data" said Joe Hinzer MSc. P.Geo. and president of WGM, "This hole will target one of three anomalies adjacent to the southern extension of the dyke which traverses Round Lake."

The geophysical targets were chosen by PWG geophysicists using an automated Keating correlation method and also manually using the total field and other derivative grids. All targets were reviewed manually with the profile data and were ranked according to importance. In addition to the ranking, a table lists the location (UTM Coordinates) and the approximate depth of the kimberlite targets. Kimberlitic core samples will be shipped to SRC laboratories for caustic fusion analysis for diamonds. The company expects the results of the testing within four to six weeks after submission to the lab. WGM senior associate geologist, Dr. Harrison Cookenboo P. Geo. has reviewed the data and approved the contents of this news release.
