Diamond Drill Program at Virgin Metals' Cuatro Hermanos Property Returns Long Intervals of Porphyry Cu-Mo Mineralization

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 25, 2008) - Virgin Metals Inc. ("Virgin Metals" or the "Company") (TSX:VGM) presents assay results for six diamond drill holes totaling 2,350 meters at the Company's 100% owned Cuatro Hermanos copper-molybdenum porphyry property located 150 km southeast of Hermosillo in Sonora, northern Mexico. Results presented here, for holes CHDD01-08 through CHDD06-08 are part of a deep core drilling program which began in June to test the mineralizing system at greater depths than any of the previous exploration campaigns. The work was carried out by Major Drilling de Mexico, S.A. de C.V. using a skid-mounted UDR-200D drill with a depth capability of 800 meters.

Last year and during the first two months of 2008, the Company completed a 26 hole reverse circulation drill program on the property totaling 5,907 meters. Many of the RC holes bottomed in copper-molybdenum mineralization at depths of up to 305 meters, yet due to limitations in the drill equipment, the contractor was unable to extend the holes to greater depths. Nonetheless, results for the RC drill program together with the results from several historic drill holes have allowed Denver-based consultants Chlumsky, Ambrust and Meyer, LLC (CAM) to complete a NI 43-101 compliant resource estimate for the upper portion of one of the mineralized porphyries (July 10, 2008 News Release). The mineralizing system at Cuatro Hermanos is relatively large and contains multiple centers of porphyry style Cu-Mo mineralization over an area of at least 4.5 square kilometers. Drill holes CHDD01-08 through CHDD04-08 lie within a 1,200 m long x 600 m wide corridor of hydrothermal alteration located along the northern and eastern sides of the porphyry system, in areas historically called the Sulfate Zone and the Main Zone. Drill holes CHDD05-08 and CHDD06-08 were sited in the West Zone, a separate porphyry target which lies more than 2 km west of the Main Zone. Assay results for Virgin Metals' drill holes are summarized in Table 1 below:

Virgin Metals CEO Chris Davie said: "Once again we have confirmation of the tremendous continuity of mineralization at Cuatro Hermanos. We look forward to continuing the exploration of this exciting property when economic conditions permit."

Drill core from Cuatro Hermanos is examined and processed at the Company's El Realito field office, located a few kilometers south of the project area. Company geologists photographed the core, record recoveries, and then log the drill hole, describing lithology, alteration assemblages, sulfide minerals, and structure. Upon completion of this work, technicians working under the geologist's supervision saw or split the drill core for assay. Half of the core is retained on-site, and the remainder is sampled at 2.5 meter intervals for assay. Plastic sample bags with the core are sealed on-site using pre-numbered security tags. The samples are stored for a short time at the field office until they can be transported by Company personnel to ALS Chemex's sample preparation facility in Hermosillo. All assay work is carried out at ALS Chemex's ISO 9001-2000 certified laboratory in Vancouver, Canada. Sample pulps and the coarse reject are later retrieved from ALS Chemex and securely stored in the Company's warehouse facility for possible future use. Virgin Metals has incorporated stringent quality control measures for the analytical work, including the insertion of standards, blanks and duplicate samples.

Exploration at the Cuatro Hermanos project is being supervised by the Company's Vice President of Exploration: John C. Spurney. Mr. Spurney, a qualified person as defined under the terms of National Instrument 43-101, has reviewed the contents of this press release.

About Virgin Metals

Virgin Metals is a junior exploration and development company; its projects include two copper/molybdenum porphyry properties in Sonora, northern Mexico. One of these, Los Verdes, is undergoing a feasibility study and is expected to evolve rapidly towards production while the other, Cuatro Hermanos, is presently the focus of an intense exploration effort.

FORWARD-LOOKING STATEMENTS

This press release includes certain "forward-looking information" within the meaning of applicable securities laws, including, but not limited to the following: statements as to estimated reserves and resources of the Los Verdes project; assumptions regarding development of a mine at Los Verdes; the timing of mining and processing operations at Los Verdes; and, statements as to estimated resources of the Cuatro Hermanos project. This forward-looking information addresses future events and conditions and so involves inherent risks and uncertainties, as disclosed under the heading "Risk Factors" and elsewhere in Virgin Metals documents filed from time to time with securities commissions in Canada, the Toronto Stock Exchange and other regulatory authorities. Important factors that could cause actual results to differ materially from this forward-looking information include: the outcome of assays and additional exploration sampling and drilling efforts; delays in completing or less favorable than anticipated results of a feasibility study on Los Verdes; increases in anticipated cash costs, operating costs, mining costs, capital expenditures and other costs; decreases in anticipated plant molybdenum and copper recoveries and molybdenum and copper prices; delays or problems in construction, permitting and start-up; variations in ore grade, mining, or processing problems or issues. The forward-looking information contained herein is Virgin Metal's reasonable estimate today of future events and conditions, but no assurance can be given that such events or conditions will occur.
