Premier Creator of Cheesecakes Introduces Three Products to Fast Growing Market

NEWBURYPORT, MA--(Marketwired - Oct 6, 2014) -  Dianne's Fine Desserts (DFD), a top provider of gourmet frozen thaw-and-serve desserts, has introduced three new gluten free desserts, a Chocolate Lava Divine cake, a Brownie and Scoopable Cheesecake. 

Consumer demand for gluten-free desserts in out-of-home environments is growing rapidly. In fact, gluten-free was ranked the fifth top food trend for 2014 by the National Restaurant Association, with 18% of adult consumers purchasing food items marketed as "gluten-free." All gluten-free foods require adherence to FDA regulations and Dianne's Fine Desserts has robust systems, manufacturing expertise and strict safety guidelines in place to handle gluten-free production, including pre-production and allergen testing.

According to Mike Taylor, Director of Food Safety and Quality, "Dianne's Fine Desserts takes a two-pronged approach to ensuring its gluten-free products meet the threshold of containing less than 20 ppm (parts per million) of gluten. First, all ingredients in our gluten-free products are free from gluten grains, Second, in order to prevent cross-contamination, prior to any gluten-free production run, cleaning effectiveness of our equipment is verified by swabbing to confirm no residue is left on the equipment. Product samples from the production runs are sent to a third-party lab and tested to insure gluten levels remain below 20 ppm, ensuring a high level of confidence with our customers."

With Lava Cakes occupying the #3 position in menu cake offerings, DFD's gluten-free Chocolate Lava Divine is a flour-less chocolate cake filled with a warm, gooey chocolate ganache. Their gluten-free Fudge Walnut Brownie is rich and fudge ready to be sliced and enhanced with additional finishing. This product has been so well received, that Dianne's Fine Desserts will be introducing a second gluten-free brownie without nuts before the end of the year. The gluten-free Scoopable Cheesecake is a rich, creamy cheesecake designed for presentation in a variety of serving dishes that allows for maximum creativity and branding opportunities.
