Dianor Resources Inc.: Chab 06-44 Returns Diamonds From 3 Intervals as Phase II Drilling Nears Completion on Leadbetter Diamond Property

VAL-D'OR, CANADA--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 7, 2006) - This news release is not for distribution to United States newswire services or for dissemination in the United States.

Dianor Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:DOR) is pleased to inform its shareholders that it has received diamond results from the Saskatchewan Research Council's (SRC) laboratory and SGS Lakefield Research of split NQ core from drill hole Chab 06-44 located in the Northern Sector of the Leadbetter Diamond Property. Chab 06-44 was drilled at an inclination of --87o to the west, 50 metres to the west of Chab 05-14 and 200 metres to the east of Chab 06-34 on an east-west section line (2+00N) from which previous drill results have been reported (press release of August 21, 2006). The hole was designed to intersect the complete Leadbetter conglomerate (DBR), which was partially intersected by Chab 05-14.

(i) 1000 Microns equals 1 millimetre
(ii) Results include quality control splits of drill core that were
processed by caustic fusion at SGS Lakefield Research
- V2T equals Volcaniclastic horizon
- DBR equals Leadbetter Diamond Bearing Conglomerate
- DBR2 equals Monolithic conglomerate stratigraphically above the main
DBR.
Largest diamond recovered in Chab 06-44 measured 2.79 by 2.14 by 1.77
millimetres in size, weighed approximately 0.073 carats and was
described as a white dodecahedral twinned surface fragment with
graphite inclusions.

Chab 06-44 intersected volcanics and minor sediments from 24.0 to 484.16 metres and within this interval a diamondiferous volcaniclastic horizon (V2T) was intersected from 350.75 to 370.65 metres. The main Leadbetter conglomerate (DBR) was intersected from 484.16 to 599.60 metres for a drill intersection thickness of 115.44 m. From 599.60 to the end of the hole at 714.00 metres, a basal sequence of sandstones and siltstones were intersected. A diamondiferous monolithic conglomerate (DBR2) interval of 27.58 m was intersected from 629.72 to 657.30 metres in this basal sequence of sediments.

Results from this drill hole (Chab 06-44), again, continue to demonstrate the persistence of diamonds throughout the Leadbetter conglomerate from the current 1,200 metres long fence of drill holes (Chab 05-08 to 05-13; Chab 06-34 and 06-44) along Section 2+00N in the Northern Sector. The intersection of 3 stratigraphically separate diamond-bearing horizons on the Leadbetter property highlights the uniquely diamondiferous setting of this deposit and the fecund nature of the processes involved in the emplacement of diamonds on the property.

DRILLING UPDATE:

The 40,000 metre Phase II drilling program on the Leadbetter Diamond Project is ahead of schedule and will be completed by the end of the month. The Phase II drilling was on a drill spacing of 200 metres (East-West) by 100 metres (North-South) grid. Infill diamond drilling will continue over the winter with one dedicated drill rig. Since April 16th 2005, Dianor has completed 130 holes for 38,320 metres of diamond core drilling on the Leadbetter Diamond Project, including 93 NQ core holes totaling 34,297 metres and 4,023 metres of BQ core in 37 holes. Since January 2006, 68 NQ core holes totaling 27,441 metres have been drilled across the Leadbetter Diamond Project.

Results continue to indicate diamond continuity through the conglomerate both laterally and at depth in the Northern Sector. Drilling and surface sampling have established the diamondiferous nature of the conglomerate in the Central Sector as well as the continuity of the conglomerate down dip in the Central and South Sectors.

Management expects that a geological model derived from the initial delineation of the Leadbetter conglomerate by the Phase II drilling as well as preliminary diamond distribution data, combined with a 3-D model and tonnage estimate for the diamond-bearing conglomeratic unit will be ready toward the end of the first quarter of 2007. This model will provide the basis for defining further large scale sampling programs in order to estimate resources and reserves for the Leadbetter Diamond Project as well as advancing the project towards the feasibility stage.

SAMPLING:

Surface sampling was also completed in the Central and South Sectors with an additional twenty-three "6 tonne" samples being collected across these areas. In addition, four 60 tonne surface samples were collected at previously sampled sites in the North and Central Sector as part of the program to determine grade variability and appropriate sample size for further bulk testing.
