Dianor Resources Inc.: North and Central Sectors of the Leadbetter Diamond Property Continue to Yield Commercial Sized Diamonds

VAL D'OR, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 28, 2006) - This news release is not for distribution to United States newswire services or for dissemination in the United States.

Dianor Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:DOR) is pleased to inform its shareholders that it has received preliminary DMS ("Dense Media Separation") diamond results from SGS Lakefield Research for an additional 15 of the 105 "6 tonne" samples excavated on the Leadbetter Diamond Property. Diamond selection from the remaining 27 sample concentrates is continuing and the results will be released when received from SGS Lakefield. Diamond results for sixty-three samples were previously reported (press releases April 28, July 31and August 30, 2006).

The sampling program, undertaken in late 2005, was designed to establish continuity of diamonds in the conglomerates throughout the surface bedrock exposures and between the drill holes (200m x100m drill hole spacing) in the Northern and Central Sectors of the Leadbetter Diamond Property. Sample sites were located at 25 to 30 metre centers on surface rock outcrops. Current diamond results from the Leadbetter Conglomerate reported below were recovered from fresh, competent bedrock that was drilled and blasted prior to excavation.

11 of the 15 samples were taken from the Leadbetter Conglomerate and contained 605 commercial sized diamonds (greater than 0.85 millimetres in size) weighing 12.44 carats in 55.6 tonnes of bedrock. The remaining 4 samples representing metasediments and volcanic rocks near contact zones totaled 20.1 tonnes and contained 21 commercial sized diamonds weighing 0.325 carats.

The largest diamond was recovered from sample MBP 156 located in the Northern Sector. The stone weighed 0.201 carats with dimensions of 3.25 mm x 2.94 mm x 2.02 mm and was described as an off-white, transparent, octahedron, exhibiting 85% preservation. The next largest diamond was recovered from MBP 145 also located in the Northern Sector and this stone weighed 0.158 carats with dimensions of 2.71 mm x 2.57 mm x 2.51 mm. This stone was described as a grey, translucent, twinned dodecahedron, exhibiting 75% preservation. In addition, diamonds weighing 0.149, 0.123 and 0.122 carats were recovered from pits 156, 108, and 145 in the Northern Sector while diamonds weighing 0.131 and 0.108 carats were recovered from pits 181 and 175 in the Central Sector. Overall, the majority of the diamonds from the 11 samples have colour, clarity and preservation characteristics consistent with those of the previously reported samples results.

Field checks of the geology indicate that the diamond bearing rock reporting low stone counts have different characteristics than the typical diamond-bearing unit (DBR) elsewhere in the Central and Northern Sectors. Surface sampling of the conglomeratic horizon in those areas of the Central Sector not previously sampled as well as in the South Sector was completed with approximately 140 tonnes of material collected from 23 sites. Collection of replicate samples from selected sites in order to determine the size of sample needed to give appropriate confidence limits for grade estimates was also completed with approximately 240 tonnes of material collected from 4 sites. These surface bedrock samples will be processed by DMS for commercial diamond recovery in early 2007.

DRILLING UPDATE:

The 40,000 metre Phase II drilling program on the Leadbetter Diamond Project was recently completed, ahead of schedule. Since April 16th 2005, Dianor has completed 130 holes for 39,770 metres of diamond core drilling on the Leadbetter Diamond Project, including 93 NQ core holes totaling 35,747 metres and 4,023 metres of BQ core in 37 holes. Since January 2006, 68 NQ core holes totaling 28,890 metres have been drilled across the Leadbetter Diamond Project. The Phase II drilling was based on a drill spacing of 200 metres (East-West) by 100 metres (North-South) grid. Infill diamond drilling to further delineate the geology of the deposit and assist in the development of a geological model will continue over the winter.

A preliminary 3-D model based on the drilling to-date is available for viewing on Dianor's website. Management expects that a geological model derived from the initial delineation of the Leadbetter conglomerate by the Phase II drilling as well as preliminary diamond distribution data, combined with a 3-D model and tonnage estimate for the diamond-bearing conglomeratic unit will be ready toward the end of the first quarter of 2007. This model will provide the basis for defining further large scale sampling programs in order to estimate resources and reserves for the Leadbetter Diamond Project as well as advancing the project towards the feasibility stage.
