Digabit and Infor Partner to Streamline Order Processing

DENVER, CO--(Marketwire - November 9, 2010) -  Digabit, Inc. has joined forces with Infor, one of the world's largest providers of business software, offering enhanced business processes to their joint customers. Digabit's Documoto Web Application integrates with Infor's Spear 4i Enterprise Asset Management Solution providing a "shopping cart" capability for ordering parts from within Documoto. The integrated Spear 4i/Digabit solution has been deployed at Los Angeles Metro (LA Metro), the second largest transit authority in North America.

"The integration of Spear and Documoto automates the parts ordering process and saves time by allowing users to easily identify the right part the first time, and then transfer the desired part numbers from an electronic catalog into a requisition directly within the application," said Pat Astredo, Director, Operations System Support, LA Metro. "This process assures accuracy and accountability in the ordering process, reduces the risk of error, and allows the mechanic to deliver a better product -- a reliable bus."

Alan Sage, President of Digabit, noted, "Electronic parts catalogs and content management systems have been around for almost 15 years. Documoto is a fresh approach to a problem that is very familiar to asset-intensive industries. It makes parts ordering a visual process, thus saving time and ensuring accuracy. We are pleased to work with two world class organizations, Infor and LA Metro, to deliver this much needed capability to the industry."

Documoto is a modern, intuitive, browser-based, Flex/Air Web Application. Documoto does not require software to be installed or managed on any customer server or desktop. This "software as a service" approach is both low cost and quick to implement.
