Digicel Wins License in Papua New Guinea

New License to Extend Reach of Seamless Pan South Pacific Network, Excellent Network Coverage and Service Promised for PNG Mobile Customer

PORT MORESBY, PAPUA NEW GUINEA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- September 8, 2006 --Digicel Pacific Ltd, the exciting new entrant to the South Pacific mobile telecommunications industry, continues its expansion in the region with the announcement that it has been awarded a license to operate a GSM network in Papua New Guinea.
