DigiLens Launches Head-Up Display (HUD) Design Contest

DigiLens, the AR Technology Company Behind BMW's Groundbreaking HUD Motorcycle Helmet, Launches an International Contest to Crowd Source Rider HUD Design Preferences -- Great BMW Prizes

SUNNYVALE, CA--(Marketwired - Jan 12, 2016) - DigiLens, Inc., the company that partnered with BMW to demonstrate a groundbreaking augmented reality HUD for motorcyclists at CES 2016, is now holding a HUD design contest on its website. In order to participate, contestants must go to the DigiLens website and construct their ideal HUD display layout using the online design interface. The instructional video provides simple guidance on how to participate.

The contest is now open and entries must be submitted by March 18, 2016 at 11:59 p.m. PT. To be eligible, contestants must be legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia and at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry. Design entries will be judged by an esteemed panel of ergonomic, design and human interface engineers, based on originality, artistic impression, ease of use, features, functionality and most importantly rider safety.

Judging:
The overruling judge evaluating designs and naming winners is leading (Triumph, Dafra etc.) motorcycle designer Bruce Renfrew, Founder and Chairman of Renfrew Group International. In the event of a tie, where more than one individual submits an identical winning design, the design that was submitted first will be named the winner.

Selection of Winning Entries:
On April 1st, 2016, the judges will select potential winners among all eligible entries received. Each submission will be assigned a specific code generated for identification purposes based upon the design constitution, time it was submitted and the order in which it was received. The identity of entrants will not be visible to the judge, who will evaluate design submissions and from that entry name contest winners. See DigiLens website for official rules and entry method.
