Digimation Announces Significant New Pricing of 3D Model Libraries

New Pricing Makes 3D Libraries Affordable for Creative Artists, Studio Owners, and Freelancers

NEW ORLEANS, LA--(Marketwire - March 3, 2008) - Digimation® today announced The Archive™, the newest version of its 3D model library, which will be available at new, affordable pricing. The Platinum Edition, which includes more than 10,000 3D models and formerly priced at $24,995, will sell for $2,995. The Titanium Edition, which features more than 16,500 models and formerly priced at $49,995, will sell for $4,995.

"More and more of our customers, particularly those in the entertainment segment, are working in smaller, focused development teams," said David Avgikos, president of Digimation. "Our model libraries have long been known for their variety and quality; now we have removed the barrier to ownership for smaller companies and individuals who have wanted access to our model library for use in their own projects."

The Archive Platinum Edition features 10,054 3D models that, if purchased individually, represent more than one million dollars in value. The Archive Titanium Edition features 16,504 3D models including: fully digitized vehicles, high-resolution anatomy (including skeletal data from the Visible Human Project), famous landmarks, accurate military models, and more. The Titanium Edition represents more than a million man hours of development and six million dollars in value. Both editions feature models covering subject matter in sixteen categories delivered in industry standard OBJ format compatible with virtually all 3D applications and production pipelines.

"When we begin a project, whether it be for a feature film or a game cinematic, the first step we take is to browse through the Digimation Archive," said Sean Cushing, executive producer at Pixel Liberation Front. "In almost every case, it gives us an incredible advantage because without fail The Archive contains the models that we need to get started. Everything is well organized and easy to search, which makes finding the desired models that much easier. And because the models are in OBJ format, they fit seamlessly into our pipeline. The Digimation Archive is one of the best investments we have made as a company."

"The models we are licensing from Digimation allow us to have high quality art up and running quickly and efficiently," said Shayne Herrera, art development director for Cryptic Studios. "The quality of each asset is incredible; each model is detailed and beautifully constructed. Deciding to use Digimation products is one of the easiest decisions I have made as an Art Director."
