Aberdeen Report Finds These Best-In-Class Organizations Typically Complete Their Network Transitions On Plan and On Budget

This independent benchmark study, Network Transformations: Managing Transitions for Growth reports Best-in-Class (BIC) organizations that deploy technologies like order and inventory software before embarking on network transitions are three times more likely to complete their transitions on time or ahead of plan compared to other organizations; achieving cost savings sooner and minimizing network downtime.

"Our survey found that 60 per cent of organizations should have performed a better assessment before undertaking their network transition," says Aberdeen Group's Research Director Joe Basili. Of the 275 enterprises surveyed for the report:

- 51 per cent of BICs had service order software already in place versus 15 per cent of laggards

- 57 per cent of BICs had established a centralized database of circuits and services versus 24 per cent of laggards

- 61 per cent of BICs had end-to-end visibility into their voice and data inventory versus 30 per cent of laggards
