Digital First Media Properties Receive 23 EPPY Award Nominations

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Oct 24, 2013) - Digital First Media properties receive 23 2013 EPPY Award finalist nominations in Editor & Publisher's 18th annual contest recognizing the best media-affiliated websites from across the globe.

The Denver Post leads all Digital First Media properties with 14 nominations. The San Jose Mercury and Bay Area News Group secured seven nominations and The York Daily Record received two nominations. This marks the second-consecutive year Digital First Media received more than 20 nominations. Last year the Company won nine EPPY Awards.

  • Best Use of Photography on a Website for Viewfinder blog (1 million unique monthly visitors and over)
  • Best Business Blog for SiliconBeat.com (Under 1 million unique monthly visitors and over)
  • Best Sports Blog for Tim Kawakami's Talking Points (Under 1 million unique monthly visitors and over)

The York Daily Record is nominated for Best Mobile Application (Under 1 million unique monthly visitors) for both its high school sports focused GameTimePA and for its historical retrospective Gettysburg: 150 Facts about the 150th.

EPPY Award winners will be announced on Oct. 30.
