Digital Mammography at the Queen Elizabeth Health Complex

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - May 17, 2013) - There has recently been much media information regarding the superior accuracy of a DR digital mammography system compared to the CR system. We would like to inform the public that the Queen Elizabeth Health Complex, which is one of 15 accredited Breast Cancer Detection Centres in Quebec, uses only the DR system in all of its modalities.

Our not-for-profit organization receives no government funding. Many thanks to the CURE Foundation for its recent generous donation, which allowed us to purchase a brand new, state-of-the-art digital (DR) mammography machine. Digital mammography at the QEHC is offered free of charge to the public with a valid medicare card.

About Queen Elizabeth Health Complex : At a time when we are actively searching for tangible and long-term solutions to our health care needs, the Queen Elizabeth Health Complex (QEHC) offers an innovative and efficient health care model, providing a diverse range of community health care services - all under one roof and with minimal waiting times. Ensuring ready access to both medical and alternative health services, the QEHC is an excellent alternative to the overcrowding, delays and other inconveniences so often experienced in hospitals and CLSCs.
