City Expands Its Fleet of DPT Pay Stations and Implements License Plate-Enabled Parking

VANCOUVER, BC--(Marketwired - May 12, 2014) - Today, Digital Payment Technologies ( (DPT), a leading provider of multi-space pay stations and enterprise software parking solutions, announced phase II of its deployment with the City of Miami Beach, FL. Phase II includes further expansion of DPT's LUKE II multi-space parking pay stations throughout the city and changing the mode of operation to Pay-by-License Plate as part of the License Plate-Enabled Parking (LEP) solution that the city is launching today.

"With DPT's LUKE II pay stations at the center of this system, consumers will appreciate an intuitive and convenient way to park that will also make operations more efficient, thanks to the pay stations' integration with enforcement technologies from Genetec and OmniPark."

With LEP, consumers simply enter their license plate number at the pay station when paying for parking and then continue on to their destination. They do not have to return to their vehicles to display a parking receipt, nor do they need to remember specific parking space numbers. With DPT's integration with Parkmobile, consumers also have the option of paying using their mobile phone.

DPT's relationship with Miami Beach dates back to late 2012 when the city began replacing its aging parking pay stations with 344 of DPT's LUKE II pay stations. By the end of 2014, Miami Beach will have over 750 LUKE II pay stations powering their LEP system.
