Digital Reef Appoints David Butler as New Vice President of Marketing

BOXBOROUGH, MA--(Marketwire - March 16, 2010) - Digital Reef (www.digitalreefinc.com), a leading software provider of the first massively scalable and open solutions for eDiscovery and information governance, today announced that it appointed software industry veteran David Butler as Vice President of Marketing. In this role, David is responsible for spearheading the company's product and corporate marketing strategy. David brings more than 25 years of experience driving highly effective marketing programs and strategy for enterprise software and systems companies to the executive team at Digital Reef.

David comes to Digital Reef from Hewlett-Packard (HP), where he led the HP Software product strategy responsible for Storage Automation software, and was a chief strategist for the Business Service Automation Suite and private cloud automation. Additionally, David was the Worldwide SOA Director and Chief Evangelist for HP's Technology Solutions Group's SOA Marketing. Prior to HP, David was the VP of Marketing and Chief SOA Evangelist for Systinet, where he defined and established the product and marketing vision for the company's SOA Governance and Lifecycle management products, leading to an acquisition by Mercury Interactive. Before Systinet, David was VP of Product Strategy and Marketing at Spotfire, where he created a market leading guided analytic platform for applications across life sciences, energy, high tech and manufacturing.
