Digital Shelf Space Appoints Former President of Lionsgate Films and Founder and Former CEO of THINKFilm to its Board of Directors

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - June 28, 2011) -Digital Shelf Space Corp. (the "Company" or "DSS") (TSX VENTURE:DSS) is pleased to announce that effective June 27, 2011 Mr. Jeffrey Sackman has been appointed to the Company's Board of Directors. Mr. Sackman, was formerly the President of Lionsgate Films for 6 years and also founded and served as the CEO of THINKFilm until 2008. Mr. Sackman also sits on the board of Rainmaker Entertainment and has recently co- founded and launched a new company called Hollywood Suite Inc., where he also serves as a member of the board.

Mr. Sackman stated, "I am very pleased to join the Board at DSS at this early stage. The Company's initial product GSP RUSHFIT is very impressive, and has done incredibly well in such a short period of time. I have been in the business for over 20 years, and management at DSS has developed a unique strategy for the direct to home entertainment marketplace. I am excited to be working with this management and board as we work to establish something special over the coming years."

The Company granted Mr. Sackman, subject to regulatory and shareholder approval as applicable, effective July 1, 2011, a total of 250,000 incentive stock options. The stock options are exercisable to acquire one common share of Digital Shelf Space at $0.12 per share and can be exercised until June 30, 2016.

Jeff successfully led Lionsgate into the crucial and highly competitive U.S. market, a first for a Canadian based entity, structured and negotiated rarely available output arrangements with Universal Studios, Home Box Office and Bravo, created and grew three profitable video companies, and executive produced nearly fifty films, including Buffalo 66 and American Psycho. Prior to that, he was a Principal at Cinepix Film Properties which was sold into what is now Lionsgate, as well as Vice President at Cineplex Odeon from 1987-1991.
