(NASDAQ: GAIA) senior executive Mr. Patrick Baynes as its new President and Chief Operating Officer (overseeing US operations). Mr. Baynes will be taking over as President from Mr. Jeffrey Sharpe. Mr. Sharpe will remain as the Company's Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Mr. Baynes spent the past 14 years with GAIAM Inc. (formerly Good Times Entertainment) originally as Vice President-Finance and Operations from May 2001 - August 2010 where he managed finance for the Retail and Direct to Consumer divisions including Direct Response (Infomercial), Catalogue, Web/Internet and Retail distribution channels. Since August of 2010 Mr. Baynes held the position of Vice President-General Manager-Direct Response where he was responsible for managing all aspects of the Direct Response division, including the creation and marketing of product advertisements using the internet, social media and long form 30-minute infomercial television spots.
