Digital Taipei 2014 Creates NT$ 100 Million Opportunities Within Two Days

TAIPEI, TAIWAN--(Marketwired - Sep 11, 2014) - The "Digital Taipei 2014, Taipei International Digital Content Seminar," organized by the Industrial Development Bureau, Ministry of Economic Affairs, came to an end on the 11th. In the active solicitation of the organizer, a total of nearly 40 domestic companies, as well as over 200 international buyers of 16 countries and regions from afar joined this year's event. Within 2 days, the event completed hundreds of business meetings and brought out many opportunities for cross-border cooperation. Furthermore, it helped Taiwan's digital content industry win NT$100 million worth of business opportunities.

The master lecturers of this year's International Forum are Tetsuya Nakatake -- the producer of "Hōzuki no Reitetsu," Hiro Kaburagi -- the director of "Hōzuki no Reitetsu, " Hiroyuki Ito, CEO of Crypton Future Media, and Peng Lu -- the VP of Tencent Games as keynote speakers. Besides, a series of forums entitled "Mobile Game Market Forum," "Mobile Application Forum," "Game Trends / Integrated Application Forum," and "Animation Forum" are presented by 16 industrial experts from famous companies, including Samsung, App Annie, GMGC, Alibaba, MIC, Cool Japan, Blue Sky, Sony Pictures, Safe House T, Ijoing, Gameloft, Making Fun, Perfect World, Sigma Designs, IBM, and DIT Incubator & Venture Management. More than 1,000 audiences participated in 2-day activities. Related special events such as, " ANICUP 2014 Taiwan x Japan," "Taiwan Cloud Innovation Awards (Top Apps 2014)," and "Digital Content -- Hardware and software Forum (SCDA)" also attracted crowds participation.

Digital Taipei has gradually established excellent reputation at home and abroad for over 6 years. Besides international lecturers gladly accept the invitation, international forum topics have advanced year after year and attract numerous enthusiastic audiences. On the other hand, the repeat attending international buyers are accounted for over 25% of all buyers. Furthermore, the event has facilitated many business opportunities for Taiwanese companies. In order to effectively establishing an international exchange and transaction platform, Digital Taipei will continue to promote Taiwan to become the core of Chinese digital content development.
