DigitalTown Completes Phase I Launch of New Spirit Sites
More Than 20,000 Sites Launched to Support Team Spirit
MINNEAPOLIS, MN--(Marketwire - October 13, 2010) - DigitalTown, Inc. (OTCBB: DGTW) announced completion of the initial rollout of its new Spirit Sites featuring content from The Active Network, MusicSkins, Weatherbug, Bing and other providers. With 20,057 sites, the DigitalTown network represents the largest collection of sites dedicated to local content on the web today.
The sites initially feature 2010 football schedules, scores and power rankings. Over the coming weeks additional team content and features will be rolled out to support a comprehensive site in support of each school.
DigitalTown is enthusiastic about delivering these sites. They believe that the loyalty to the schools is paramount and they are pleased to provide this facility in their support.
Schools and booster clubs will be able to participate in multiple revenue shares programs that will be offered. As part of the phase two roll out, access to password protected features will be turned on for individual schools, teams, clubs, students, fans and players.
