DigitalTown's Basketball Team Spirit Sites Increase by 51%

MINNEAPOLIS, MN--(Marketwire - January 13, 2011) - DigitalTown, Inc. (OTCBB: DGTW) continues its launch of basketball on its nationwide network of spirit sites. This week 17,816 teams with 155,232 games were published, compared to 11,757 teams with 81,570 games in December. The DigitalTown network continues to show solid growth toward its goal of becoming the number one US web portal for high school sports. Over 20,500 spirit websites for football and basketball are now interconnected showing scores and schedules.

DigitalTown is managing the information for the 2010/2011 season, with athletic directors, coaches and fans having input through its corrections tab. For the first time on a nationwide portal, the 2011/2012 season will bring access to athletic directors and coaches with password protected areas to their own team pages and sites.

DigitalTown and its strategic partner, the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association "NIAAA," will begin the data collection and access rights to the sites in March 2011.

Starting with the NIAAA member athletic directors and moving forward with an open system, all US high school athletic directors will have access to their team pages.
