Dinerware Reaches the 1,000 Customer Milestone

SEATTLE, WA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- January 22, 2007 -- Dinerware, a leading developer of restaurant point-of-sale software, announced today that it has surpassed the 1,000 customer milestone and now supports approximately one million customer visits per week at restaurant locations spread across North America. Focusing on the needs of independent restaurants and chains, Dinerware's entry to the market became more broadly known during the summer of 2005 when Hospitality Technology Magazine rated Dinerware #1 in Total User Satisfaction in their annual POS Scoreboard.

This level of awareness combined with powerful word of mouth advertising caused Dinerware's restaurant POS system to experience exponential growth in 2006, which very quickly propelled Dinerware's customers beyond the one thousand mark. Dinerware customers consistently describe Dinerware as the most affordable and easiest system to use. In the words of customer Barry Rogel from the Deluxe Bar & Grill in Seattle's Capital Hill neighborhood, "Dinerware is the most user friendly system we have worked with. With Dinerware, we are better able to meet the needs of our guests because the system facilitates communication that is vital to our business."

Anthony's restaurants recently made the decision to put Dinerware into all 20 of their locations after a careful selection. Now that the rollout is complete, they are very pleased with the results. "By switching over to Dinerware, we anticipate saving over $150,000 a year in system support costs alone. The system is easy to use (our management team and staff loves it), and the product just works beautifully," said Anthony's CFO, Ray Caldwell.

When asked to explain what has caused such an enthusiastic response to Dinerware's restaurant POS system, CEO Jeff Riley said, "We've seen an interesting trend developing in the restaurant community. Restaurateurs want to benefit from the promises of workflow automation, but they are tired of being held hostage by overly complex systems that require constant hand holding from their providers. Dinerware was designed to give full control of the system to the restaurant owner so he or she can make decisions and changes quickly without the need for expensive support contracts."

Dinerware's early success in North America is starting to turn heads oversees as well with customer sites now appearing in Europe, the Middle East, Australia, Southeast Asia, and South Africa. Partnerships with resellers, third party application providers, and hardware manufactures also saw significant expansion in 2006, increasing the restaurant POS system's marketability and functionality. Summing it up in the words of Dinerware's founder and CTO, Carl English, "Our mission is to make technology approachable so restaurants can succeed."
