Dios Exploration Inc.: Drill Running Again on Shipshaw Carbonatite Complex

MONTREAL, QUEBEC, CANADA--(Marketwire - June 16, 2011) -DIOS EXPLORATION (TSX VENTURE:DOS) is pleased to inform its shareholders that the diamond drill is running again on the Shipshaw Carbonatite Complex, a few kilometers away from the Niobec mine, Saguenay, Quebec, in operation for over thirty years.

New areas of the Shipshaw Complex will be tested as well as new potential carbonatite targets defined by recent research work on DIOS wholly-owned claims surrounding the Niobec mine.

The first definition drilling phase to understand the geology of the Shipshaw Complex had to be delayed due to the spring break-up, when the ground was wet and soft, so as not to leave any environmental marks, but was undertaken again this week.

There is currently a backlog in the assay offices and laboratories for niobium and rare earths and about half of the core sampled in the 20 drill hole program recently completed by DIOS to test part of the Complex to a depth of 125-150 m is yet to be assayed.

The IAMGOLD Niobec mine is located 300 feet (90 m) at vertical depth from surface, covered by 240 feet of Trenton limestone, and developments now reach 2,400 feet. There is also a ferro-niobium plant. Ferro-niobium is an added value product more directly in demand than niobium. Niobium is used in the making of strategic alloys for the aerospace industry, for instance. About nine percent of DIOS' shares are held by IAMGOLD. This press release was prepared by M.-J.
