DIOS Exploration Inc.: Significant Gold Porphyry Discovery on 33 CARATS Project

MONTREAL, QUEBEC, CANADA--(Marketwire - Sept. 12, 2012) - Management of DIOS EXPLORATION (TSX VENTURE:DOS) is very pleased to report a significant in situ gold porphyry discovery on its wholly-owned 33 CARATS project. Exploration of this sector provided the definition of a gold interest zone of a few sq. kilometers of homogeneous tonalite (a grey granite) with some sixty disseminated copper sulfide bearing samples. There is a clear gold-silver-copper-bismuth association typical of gold porphyry deposits.

Metric size angular boulders grade up to 7,76 g/t Au, 15,7 g/t Ag, 2 % Cu et 74 g/t Bi. Outcrops grade up to 4.93 g/t Au, 6,8 g/t Ag, 0.477% Cu et 14 g/t Bi.

Located 8 kilometers NW of the Eastmain volcanic hosted gold mine 315 km north of Chibougamau, and cut through by the 167 Otish road, the 33 CARATS gold project hosts folded volcanics wrapped around targeted granodioritic-tonalitic rocks with disseminated chalcopyrite (copper sulfide)-pyrite mineralization and quartz veins which show potential for gold porphyric mineralizations. The style of mineralization (disseminated, not vein-hosted) and metal associations suggest potential for a low-grade bulk tonnage porphyry gold deposit on the property, as in Malartic, Abitibi, Quebec.

In 2012, out of 246 rocks samples from the tonalite and granodiorite area, 10,5 % returned values greater than 0,45 g/t Au, 14, 2 % gave values greater than 0,3 g/t Au (300 ppb) and some 25 % returned values greater than 100 ppb (0,1 g/t Au). Gold enriched samples are limited to the tonalite area, within which a few goldbearing samples from a felsic synvolcanic quartz porphyry intrusive were also uncovered (QP).

The 33 CARATS outcropping gold discovery results from systematic exploration work by DIOS, following a well structured gold in till glacial dispersal train leading to the discovery of gold bearing tonalite angular glacial boulders during Fall 2011.

Rock samples were sent to the ALS-CHEMEX laboratories with blanks and duplicates for quality control. This press release was prepared par M.J. Girard, M.Sc.Geo, 43-101 QP.
