DIOS Reports Fall Program on PONTAX

MONTREAL, CANADA--(CCNMatthews - Dec. 8, 2006) - A glacial till sampling program was completed this fall on the PONTAX property of DIOS EXPLORATION INC. (TSX VENTURE:DOS) following up on positive mineralogical picking recently completed on till sampled in June. Furthermore, chemical composition of minerals (microprobe) suggests diamond potential for kimberlites. An helicopter borne geophysical survey is planned in the short term.

The PONTAX property of DIOS EXPLORATION borders the up-ice side of the large Mirabelli property held by De Beers Canada Inc. more to the south-west. There is no known kimberlite in the area to explain Indicators Minerals occurrences and their sources remain to be found. These claims are held in partnership with SIRIOS RESOURCES.

The discovery of quality Kimberlite Indicator Minerals returned minerals such as high chromium/ low calcium harzburgitic G10 garnet (over 10% Cr2O3, less than 3% CaO), picroilmenite, omphacite (rare to find-eclogitic signature suggesting potential diamond source richer than harzburgite) kosmochlor diopside (chromium is in the kosmochlor molecule) and kimberlitic olivine (forsterite).

A high grade silver-gold channel intercept of 821 g/t silver and 1.31 g/t gold over 4.36 m on the available rock exposure was reported by SIRIOS. A second showing was discovered 400 meters away and the sole grab sample collected graded 170 g/t silver, 1.38 g/t gold, 1.57% lead, 3.7% zinc and 1.07% copper. Another outcrop with similar geological characteristics is located 250 meters along strike. A large 2 km long ground geophysical IP anomaly was delineated. Twelve rock channel sample results are pending.

Kimberlite Indicator Minerals occur within glacial dispersal trains with distinctive geochemical signatures. One is characterized by its anomalous gold-tungsten-gahnite (zinc mineral) contents; another by anomalous mercury-arsenic-antimony (gold tracers).

Diamond exploration in funded by DIOS, while gold and base metals exploration is funded by Sirios. If the project is to focus on diamond, DIOS can buy back SIRIOS' share in cash or shares and vice versa, and the partner is to keep a 1% royalty.
