Direct Financial Assistance Available in California for Breast Cancer Screening and Diagnostic Services

BALTIMORE, MD--(Marketwire - February 11, 2009) - The American Breast Cancer Foundation (ABCF), a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to providing direct financial assistance to uninsured and underinsured individuals for diagnostic tests to aid in the early detection and survival of breast cancer, announced today that funding is presently available for women and men in California in need of screening services for breast cancer. The best defense against breast cancer today is early detection and treatment.

"We are here to provide real help right now when people need it the most," said Phyllis Wolf, co-founder and president of ABCF. "We believe that everyone deserves a fighting chance. Although it is more uncommon for younger women and rare for men -- they too can have breast cancer. We urge all those in need to call ABCF today."
